EastEnders shock as Martin Fowler in hit and run – 17 years after killing Jamie Mitchell

EASTENDERS fans are in shock after Martin Fowler was involved in another hit and run-17 years after he killed Jamie Mitchell.

The former fruit and veg flogger-who is played by actor James Bye in the BBC soap-was frozen in horror after he and Tubbs ran over an unidentified person in tonight's episode.

In shock, Martin stumbled out of the van and stared at the person laying motionless in the road.

Tubbs screamed for him to get back in the van so they could flee, but Martin was stuck in place.

And now fans are convinced he will be responsible for yet another death-17 years after he killed Jamie Mitchell in a hit and run.

Martin famously caused the death of Jamie Mitchell back in 2002 in a hit and run and this will be no different.

EastEnders boss Kate Oates told The Sun Online last week: "They left a guy laying in the road so there's that still to play out.

"And the resonance for Martin over what happened Jamie will be there too."

Martin's guilt will spiral out of control after the incident, and he will lean on ex-wife Sonia to cope.

Their growing connection will no doubt have fans wondering if Martin and Sonia could be set for a romantic reunion, with the nurse admitting she still had feelings for her ex earlier this week.

Actor James Bye added: "With Martin and Sonia, because they've got such history, I think a reunion is always on the cards.
